Resources
As a bicycle advocacy organization, SABA has two complementary roles.
Our primary concern is wrapped up in our motto: “More and safer trips by bicycle”. For our members and volunteers — and for all cyclists — this means we make as much information available as we can to help encourage riding, just as their membership encourages our work. But beyond this, we also push to make sure cycling is taken seriously by transportation planners, developers, and elected officials. For those planners and officials as well as for other advocates, we provide technical expertise and strategy in the sorts of bicycle facilities our region needs.
In SABA’s two decades, we have compiled a number of resources to help both cyclists and advocates alike. Cyclists can learn the rules of the road, where to find better road training, and look up bike maps that matter to them. Planners and advocates, meanwhile, can benefit from our collection of best practice documents, Master Plans, and various other technical documents and guidelines.
