Join SABA and City Bicycle Works to celebrate the BIG Day of Giving with a special edition Townie Ride to Bike Dog Brewing in West Sacramento.
Bike Dog is opening just for us to toast a successful BIG Day of Giving! And at Bike Dog, we’ll meet up with two- and four-legged ambassadors from German Shepherd Rescue of Northern California to learn more about their important rescue, fostering and adoption work.
WHEN & WHERE: We’ll meet at City Bicycle Works, 2419 K Street near 25th Street in Midtown, and leave a few minutes after 5:30 for the 30-minute ride to Bike Dog. We’ll be traveling on downtown and neighborhood streets and the Sacramento River Trail — expect to share the road with the end of the rush hour traffic. Please be sure you and your bike can handle these conditions. We’ll have a route map and a ride leader and sweeper so nobody gets lost or left behind. Please feel welcome to bring a helmet, high-viz clothing and other safety gear that helps you feel comfortable. And be sure to bring bike lights — we’ll be riding back after dark.
This is a no-host happy hour event — your beer is on you. There will also be food available.
CAN’T MAKE THE RIDE? Meet us at Bike Dog anyway. (Some of our best friends drive cars.) This is a party for anyone who enjoys bikes and beer! Your dog is welcome too.
