Repairing & Rehoming Donated Bikes

Bicycles are essential for many who need to get to school, a doctor’s appointment, a job, or maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Sacramento’s many social service organizations are helping to fill these needs. SABA mechanics upcycle community-donated bicycles and then deliver them to those organizations in need.
SABA is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. Donated bicycles will support our many educational, advocacy, and assistance programs, such as Lights On!, our free bike light giveaways, and our Ride Ready no-cost community bike repair clinics.
Providing Bikes for Social Service Organizations
We are proud to be able to help our many social services organizations provide their clients access to dependable and safe transportation.
If you are a social service organization, please fill out the Bike Request form to request donated bicycles for your clients.

A new bike helps rebuild a life...
Donnesha was struggling to rebuild her life without access to a car and having to rely on inconsistent public transportation.
Through SABA's Upcycle program, we were able to provide her with a reliable bicycle through CommuniCare+OLE, a social service organization, and she is now able to get to appointments, reach the food bank and grocery store, and pursue job and training opportunities.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Robert," she said. "This bike means more to me than I can even explain. I used to have to walk everywhere and would miss appointments. Now I feel free and able to get where I need to go. I'm beyond grateful. God bless you."
