We’ll meet at HOT ITALIAN at 16th & Q streets in Midtown for a quick espresso or treat. At 11:45 AM we’ll head to the California Museum, 10th & O streets, to see “Ray Eames: A Century of Modern Design,” an exhibit celebrating the centennial of legendary 20th-century American designer and Sacramento native Ray Eames, who broke barriers during an era of limited opportunities for women in the arts. This is a concise exhibit easily enjoyed in about 30 minutes.

Next we head north to the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail at C Street near Blue Diamond and across the American River to Del Paso Boulevard. Starting at 1 PM, vintage mid-century travel trailers exhibited along the boulevard will be open to the public. Live music, tiki bar, beer garden, yard sale and food trucks will make this a one-of-a-kind event.

The ticket price for the ride includes admission to the California Museum and valet bike parking at the museum provided by Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates.

We’ll be riding about 5 miles, mostly on urban streets with light, Sunday traffic — please be sure you and your bike are prepared. The pace will be relaxed and sociable. We’ll have guides to make sure no one gets left behind.
