Pork Palooza on the Boulevard pairs roasted pork from Mama Kim Eats in North Sacramento with beer from Out of Bounds Brewing in Rocklin. Better still, Mama Kim is giving SABA $5 from every advance registration made by Thursday at noon. Join us for a ride from Midtown to Mama Kim Eats on Del Paso Blvd. to enjoy the feast!
WHERE: We’ll meet at 5:15 in front of Peet’s Coffee on 20th St. at J St. Around 5:30 we’ll head up to the Sacramento Northern Bikeway near Blue Diamond and across the American River, then through the Woodlake neighborhood to Mama Kims.
The route is about 4 miles one way on city streets with some evening commute traffic and on unlighted off-street bike paths. The pace will be comfortable (9-12 MPH), we’ll have a ride leader and a sweeper, and we’ll travel as a group — no one will be left behind. Bring bike lights (this is a nighttime adventure) and any other safety precautions that will help you feel comfortable.
HOW MUCH: The ride is free (but please sign up so we know how many people to expect). Pork Palooza is $40 + 15% gratuity. Make your reservation by noon Thursday, 11/21, and Mama Kims will donate $5 to SABA. Reserve by calling 916-515-9971 and be sure to mention SABA (that’s how we get the donation).
WHAT ELSE: Free bike parking will be provided (bring a lock). We’ll return as a group between 7:30 and 8, depending on the crowd. Please drink and bike responsibly — we want to enjoy your company for future rides.
