Tour di Vino returns for 2014! We’re riding from Midtown to Selland’s Market Cafe in East Sacramento for the 2nd Wednesday wine tasting. Please join us!
WHAT: We’ll ride out to East Sac to enjoy interesting wines and the warm, friendly setting at Selland’s. Dinner there is delicious, so plan to arrive hungry. Those of us who want to can ride back to Midtown together. We’ll be on our way before it gets dark.
WHERE: Let’s meet at the corner of 26th & K streets, next to the State Indian Museum and opposite the St. Francis of Assisi Church. We’ll ride east along K, under Business 80 and into East Sacramento along the M Street bike route, before turning north toward H St. and Selland’s.
ABOUT THE ROUT
E: The route is 2.5 miles one way, mostly along quieter neighborhood streets, with crossings at 29th, 30th, Alhambra and J St. where evening commute traffic will be heavier. This is a casual group ride at a friendly pace (9-12 MPH). We’ll have a leader and a sweeper, so nobody gets left behind.
Please be sure you and your bike are prepared for the distance and the route. By all means bring whatever safety gear helps you feel most comfortable. And in case you stay later, be sure to bring bike lights.
REGISTRATION FEE: The ride is free, but you’re on your own for the wine tasting and any food you buy. You’ll have the chance to make a small donation to SABA, to help us continue providing these rides.
