Bikes are the perfect way to view Words & Walls, the new public art exhibit at five sites along Del Paso Blvd. in Old North Sacramento. Join us for a ride to tour the Words & Walls sites, followed by a stop at Mama Kim’s Eats for early evening refreshment.
WHERE: We’ll leave from Peet’s Coffee on 20th & Street in Midtown Sacramento. We’ll ride for about 20 minutes to the Sacramento Northern Bikeway at C Street near 19th Street, across the American River and into the beautiful Woodlake neighborhood adjacent to Del Paso Blvd.
PRICE: The ticket is free (with an option to make a $5 donation to SABA) — please register so we know how many people to expect. Any food or drink you consume is on you.
WHAT: We’re riding as a group on city streets with low traffic and on off-street bike paths — please make sure you and your bike can handle both. Our pace will be a very sociable 10-12 MPH. We’ll have a ride leader and a sweeper to make sure everyone stays together and no one feels left behind.
WHAT ELSE: The ride ends around dusk, so bring bike lights. You also might want to bring a camera.
