Monthly Social Rides

Our social rides are usually the last Sunday of the month – check our events calendar for the next one.

February 23, 2025 – Ride to Sojourner Truth Museum

For Black History Month, we had a nice ride from 85°C Bakery Café to the Sojourner Truth Museum. The museum staff opened the museum on a Sunday especially for our group. Two knowledgeable young women, who were training as docents, gave us a tour of the murals in the building and the museum itself. The museum was founded by Shonna McDaniels, who is a professional artist, so there were a number of beautiful art pieces aside from the murals.

December 29, 2024 – Del Rio Trail Art

Despite the rainy weather, we had a total of seven cyclists show up and the rain stopped as we started the ride. We rode from La Bou Bakery & Café on Del Rio Rd south down the Del Rio Trail to the Freeport Regional Water Facility, admiring the art installations along the way.
